Respect for intellectual property
CozyGames respects the intellectual property rights of artists, creators and rights holders. Copyrights, trademarks and other rights remain with their respective owners. The display or sale of a fan-art design does not by itself represent an official licence, endorsement or affiliation with an underlying franchise or rights holder.
Artist and contributor artwork
Artists and contributors who provide artwork to CozyGames are expected to own the submitted material or have the rights and permissions necessary for its proposed use. An artist contribution or commission does not, by itself, guarantee that a third-party franchise has licensed the resulting design.
Design Your Own
Customers using Design Your Own must own the submitted artwork or have the authorization necessary to reproduce it on the requested product. Do not upload material that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights. CozyGames may refuse or remove a submission when credible rights concerns arise.
Rights-holder requests
A copyright or trademark rights holder, or an authorized representative, can report a concern to support@cozygames.ca. Please provide enough information for us to understand and locate the material:
- Rights-holder and contact information.
- A description of the protected work or right.
- The CozyGames content or product at issue.
- The relevant URL.
- The basis of the complaint.
- Supporting information showing the complainant’s rights or authority.
CozyGames reviews credible intellectual-property complaints and may remove or disable disputed material where appropriate. We may ask for clarification, notify the relevant contributor and consider a substantiated response before reaching a decision where the circumstances allow.
Repeated infringement
Where the actual submission and ordering system permits us to identify the source, repeated substantiated infringement associated with artwork submissions may result in refusal of future submissions or orders. This does not create an account-termination process where no CozyGames customer account exists.
